Okay, this is just ONE more reason why no one should risk their home to any cleaner that is not a bonafide, trained and screened employee of a professional maid service. Even the very rich sometimes think they can “save money” by hiring independent housekeepers. The risk is not worth it and the savings is miniscule! This false economy, (hiring private housekeepers) is why so many politians forfiet their opportunitiy, and why the IRS levies taxes against unsuspecting homeowners who thought they’d hired an “independent contractor” to clean. The IRS rarely agrees with that status and will go after back taxes when the maid files for social security benefits and there is none!
