Let’s face it: cleaning is a chore. We need to be efficient and organized to make the work go as quickly as possible. So cut down on the back and forth of getting your supplies by stocking your cleaning bucket with the items you’ll need to tackle the most likely jobs. According to America’s Top Cleaning Expert, Debbie Sardone, these ten items in your bucket will save you time, money and take care of 95% of your cleaning chores.

  1. Ostrich feather duster — Forget those cheap chicken feather dusters that shed as you clean and make a bigger mess. Ostrich dusters make the work of light dusting a cinch!
  2. Microfiber duster — Perfect for dusting blinds, baseboards, window ledges, even ceiling fans
  3. Microfiber towels –Fold 6 and keep in your bucket to grab and clean mirrors, buff out streaks, and dry dust that dining room table. Highly absorbent and requires less chemicals to get the job done.
  4. All-purpose, eco-friendly spray cleaner and glass cleaner to tackle over 90% of the grimy areas you’ll be cleaning
  5. Rinsing cup — Add a large plastic cup to your bucket to rinse the shower walls after scrubbing if your shower doesn’t have a removable shower sprayer.
  6. Pumice stone –The fastest, easiest way to remove hard water rings, lime scale and mineral deposits in the toilet and other bath areas.
  7. Toothbrush to clean around tight places like the faucet knobs, stove top knobs, buttons on the blender
  8. Plastic grocery bag — Tuck one of those ubiquitous plastic grocery bags into your bucket to hang on the door knob of each room you clean. Toss dirty, wet cleaning towels into the bag for easy drop off in the laundry room.
  9. Plastic putty knife/scraper — Grab and scrape up stubborn, dried food blobs off the kitchen floor or counter top, or make-up off the bathroom floor or vanity
  10. Rubber gloves — Tuck a pair inside your bucket for use when you’re cleaning with harsher chemicals in the shower and toilet bowl

Debbie recommends the high-quality, eco-friendly cleaning supplies at Speed Cleaning.com. She’s been using them for over 25 years and she liked them so much that, in 2010, she bought the company with her husband, Steve, a retired police officer. “When I started my cleaning business at age 22, I never imagined I would one day own and manufacture the green-cleaning products in my bucket!” Check out the Speed Cleaning.com website for lots of speed cleaning tools and tips!
