You know the Christmas season has begun when Old Town Lewisville has their Holiday Parade. This was my first year to participate, despite years of nagging and pleading from Buckets & Bows Maid Service Admin. Assistant, Megan Maus. Thank goodness she stayed after me and came up with a plan I couldn’t resist. Megan planned our “float” (a.k.a Dillon’s pick up truck) and coordinated our volunteers. For our first time in a parade, I was quite proud of the results.
First, Dillon’s truck was had a Christmas tree, speakers playing Christmas music, and a big Buckets & Bows banner on the tailgate. Then we had a host of cute little and big Elf’s riding in the truck bed and walking alongside the truck, throwing candy to the crowd and Buckets & Bows goodies like our logo ice cream scoops, logo mints, and measuring spoons. there was a great crowd, lots of enthusiasm, and everyone had fun. I was extremely proud of our first parade float and we are making plans to go bigger and better next year. Great job Megan, Dillon, Margarita, Lora, Peggy, and all the kids! Can’t wait til next year.
