In the news again

We’re IN THE NEWS AGAIN!  President of Buckets & Bows Maid Service, Debbie Sardone is known as the nation’s leading cleaning expert and she’s been doing back to back radio interviews all morning and some last week when the news broke of a study revealing household dust contains toxic chemicals.

According to the report household dust is doing more than collecting in corners and on those baseboards you never have to time to clean.  A brand new study from Harvard University, The University of California-San Francisco , and The Natural Resource Defense Counsel shows that household dust can expose people to a wide range of potentially toxic chemicals.

“I’m always interested in current trends and studies regarding cleaning, particularly when cancer may be involved.  This is one reason why our company has used the eco-friendly cleaning products from Speed Cleaning for many years.  It’s not just because we own the company (obtained in 2011) but because we believe in green cleaning for the safety of our employees and customers” said Sardone.

Debbie Sardone regularly offers expert opinion for radio stations across the nation as a Fox New affiliate.  As the founder of Cleaning For A Reason and the owner and President of Speed Cleaning she is always interested in healthy cleaning.

Authors are calling the study the “first study of its kind” because of a meta-analysis of more than two dozen previous studies on chemicals in dust.  They report that 90 percent of dust samples taken from households in 14 states contain harmful chemicals, including one that’s known to cause cancer.

“Most studies only measure a few chemicals so it makes it hard to understand typical exposures in homes and work places,” said the study’s lead author Ami Zota, an assistant professor of environment and occupational health at Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.  READ MORE
